www.wuubi.de proudly presents the first FREE-do-it-yourself-PUB-CRAWL of Berlin!!!!
This free tour takes place in the beautiful and hip-to-the-hop Friedrichshain. This district is known for it's huge ammount of beautiful pubs, bars, restaurants and little bistros and extravagant nightlife.
Tour I: Auf Google MapsOne aim of this FREE tour is to show you and your friends around. So the next time you're in this area you won't get lost again.
The other aim is to do this really cheap. This free tour is about drinking in public. No bars, no pubs no indoor action (except you want to :-) )
How it works? There are little kiosks, called Späti (short for "Late Buy"), everywhere in Berlin.
This tour will guide you from one Späti to another....

Meet at S-Warschauer Straße to start this awesome tour through Berlin-Friedrichshain.
Kiosk I - This little kiosk on the "Warschauer-Straße-Bridge" is known for it's very nice location but medium selection of beer.
Anyway - grab one. You might start with a "Berliner Pilsener" (delicious, from Berlin & good quality) or the absoulutely cheap beer Sternenburg Export (tastes not that bad, cheap & will give you a headache)

Warschauer Straße/Revaler Straße - Turn into Revaler Straße an enjoy the lifestyle of Berlin...
Kiosk II - Already finished with the beer? Okay, this Späti is much cheaper than the first one. Good selection of beer. Try whatever you want... - But beware: the next Späti is far away. If you are a slow walker (or fast drinker) you might better take 2!
Enter... - ... this area and have a look around. If you like find a place to sit and relax...
Leave... - ... this area and go across the street ino the Simon-Dach-Straße. This street is known for it's huge amount of nice bars, restaurants, cafés and other places. Just follow the street until the corner of Simon-Dach- and Wühlischstraße
Nice Corner - Now go right into the Wühlischstraße. This is a side-street to Simon-Dach-Straße and also full of nice cafés, bars... But not that crowded as the Simon-Dach-Straße
Almost at the Boxi... - ...now go left into the Gärtnerstraße.
And now you're at... - ... the heart & soul of Friedrichshain. The Boxhagener-Platz.
Kiosk III - Boxi Kiosk - One of the best & most friendly Spätis around. Huge selection of good german and international beer. You probably should try a Rothaus Pils. It's brewed in the southwest of Germany - in the black-forest - and is the last brewery owned by the local government!
Enter... - ...the Boxi. If it's still warm you might find a nice spot on the green. If it's to cold, just walk around a little and catch the flair.
Leave... - ...the Boxi and go right ...
Grünberger Straße - ... and now left. Have a look at all the nice food-places. Especially the Curry 66 is nice with it's really good Curry-Sausages.
Back at Simon-Dach-Straße - Now go left and enter the Simon-Dach-Straße again. As already mentioned, there are a lot of good pubs, bars & restaurants.
Kiosk IV - Markthalle - Beer, please... Now welcome to one of the most beautiful Spätis in Berlin. This Späti has a really really good selection of national and international beer. Maybe try a russian-beer or a czech-one...
Nice corner, again. - Now you should be back at the corner. Go right into Kopernikusstraße.
Last turn - Welcome back at the Warschauer-Straße. Now it's time to consider going home or not. If everything went well, you should have paid less than 4€ on beer. That's really good for one evening...
Kiosk V - This small and expensive Späti is a little smelly. But you should consider buying a beer for your way home or to the next tour.
Finish!! - Now you are released and hopefully able to find your way to the next Späti (Kiosk) on your own...
